How we use it

We use personal information only to:

  • respond to your enquiries and requests for access;
  • provide, support and improve the Tillermark service for our customers;
  • send updates you have asked for;
  • keep our website and service secure; and
  • meet our legal obligations.

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)); our legitimate interest in running a secure, useful service (Art. 6(1)(f)); and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries and correspondence are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange. Customer data is kept for the length of the customer relationship and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request or the end of the contract, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Sharing

We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our website and service, such as hosting and email providers. They are bound by contract to process it only on our instructions and to keep it secure. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

International transfers

Tillermark is based in the United States, and personal information is processed in the United States. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we protect any transfer with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We protect personal information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to send you a copy. We don’t charge for this, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.

To make a request, email privacy@tillermark.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. We reply within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires.

EEA, UK and Swiss residents also have the right to restrict or object to our use of their information and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

US state privacy rights

Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws have the rights above: to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; and to receive a portable copy. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

  • Categories collected: identifiers (such as name and email address), professional information (such as company and role), and the content of messages you send us, all collected directly from you.
  • No sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and have not done so in the past 12 months.
  • Opt-out signals: we honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only with your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email privacy@tillermark.com and we’ll remove you.

Tillermark is a business service for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you before the change takes effect.
